It's one thing to skew or omit information in advancing a narrative. That's plenty bad for a so-called "news" organization.
It's another thing to outright lie.
NPR claims there is “limited scientific evidence” for the theory that men have a physical advantage over women. I will admit that technically, they may be right. After all, why would a scientist go through the trouble of researching a hypothesis that is so blatantly obvious.
But still, the universal acknowledgement of this fact is the exact opposite of “limited evidence.” For example:
Women’s golf tees are closer to the pin because men have a physical advantage over women.
WNBA basketballs are 1 inch smaller and the 3-point line is a foot closer because men have a physical advantage over women.
In track and field, the men’s shot put weighs 16 ounces while women’s are 12 ounces because men have a physical advantage over women. Ditto the height of hurdles, the weight of a discus.
In boxing, women’s gloves are four ounces lighter because men have a physical advantage over women.
Feminism exists in large part because men have a physical advantage over women. Title IX exists EXCLUSIVELY because men have a physical advantage over women.
But NPR says there is “limited evidence” of this.
NPR is trash. And they are looking like Goddamned fools in trying to create a make-believe world that justifies allowed troubled young men to usurp women’s spaces.
I am afraid I am not going to function well in this post-truth society so many are trying to fashion. Perhaps that is their real goal.
