I’ve been impressed with a lot of the independent journalism I’ve seen on Substack the past couple of years. It seems to attract a brand of thinker who is not afraid to explore opinions outside of their comfort zone. Some are well-known, like Bari Weiss, Matt Taibbi and Stephen L. Miller. I’ve been fortunate enough to run into others, like Adam B. Coleman.
I’ve infrequently blogged on Wordpress the past several years, but I have been unimpressed with their functionality and other issues. I won’t attempt to cut-and-paste stuff I’ve written there. And I won’t limit myself to long-form commentary. Substack seems to be a good place to share quick thoughts as well as “deeper” ones.
As for me, my name is Chuck Vipperman. I live in Danville, Virginia. I have been in radio since 1984. I have done radio news for well over thirty years.
The best word to decide my political leanings is Minarchist. I am a Christian but I’m not very good at it, so you will rarely find me talking about it.
I will go back and share a couple of older blog posts that offer an overview of what I think. Read it or don’t. Your call. That is the greatest thing about this idea we call “Free Speech.”
